A new online learning module about audiologists' roles in team-based primary care can boost learners' knowledge and self-efficacy, according to preliminary findings from a quality assessment. The module's development involved an interprofessional team of clinicians and researchers and included pre- and post-module surveys to assess changes in learners' knowledge, self-efficacy, and perceived value. In all, 47 learners completed the pre- and post-module surveys, which featured multiple-choice knowledge questions and Likert-scale statements assessing the three domains. For all three — self-efficacy, value, and knowledge — learners' saw increases in the post-module survey. However, the findings were not significant for the value of audiology in team-based primary care, indicating the need for greater efforts to encourage buy-in among learners through experiential learning opportunities and integration of content into mandated training," the researchers report. Further research is needed to evaluate the impact of modules and in-person activities on learner outcomes.
