2023 Survey Shows Increased Investment in Medical Education and Rise of Omnichannel HCP Engagement Strategies

Healthcare professional engagement strategies are transforming to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare sector, driven by technological advancements and increased cross-functional collaboration, research shows. A 2023 survey of more than 200 industry leaders highlighted trends in engagement strategies, including increasing use of omnichannel engagement and automation; greater collaboration between departments; the continued use of hybrid engagement models, which combine in-person and digital interactions; and greater investment in medical education efforts. The respondents also indicated there was a significant boost in funding for medical education resources, exceeding projections from 2 years ago. Industry leaders also indicated they are prioritizing or increasing their focus on areas like education platforms, patient materials, and continuing medical education programs.
