I know the days feel shorter with a bit less sunlight, but this season always reminds me to pause, take a breath, and at the moment keep a box of tissues nearby.

It captures the power of connection, support and professional growth within our community.

🤖 This month, I’m also excited to share that the third annual Alliance AI Survey is now open! This ongoing effort helps us understand how artificial intelligence is being used in your professional CME/CPD work and how it’s shaping the future of our field.

• My movie poll revealed that you were all more excited to see the "Hunger Games" rather than "The Amazing Spiderman", "Ted" or "Brave."

In 2013

• "The 20/20 Experience" by Justin Timberlake was the biggest selling album of the year
• The concept of “flipped learning” was gaining traction in health professions education, emphasizing participatory and case-based application during live sessions.

And in 2014

• The ACCME updated the "Standards for Commercial Support"
• Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education Program had its first provider receive reaccreditation
• Apple unveiled the first Apple Watch.

In the spirit of this season, I’m grateful for all of you. The work we do together, the ideas we share and the support we offer one another make the Alliance feel like home. As president, I am especially thankful for our many volunteers, whose dedication and generosity make everything we do possible. Have a lovely Thanksgiving.
