Researchers conducted a case study exploring the transition to virtual academic detailing (AD) for primary care providers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The case study included observations of AD visits, group and one-on-one interviews, and a document analysis of curriculum and policy documents. Obstacles include technological issues, consistency across modalities and having a virtual presence in group visits.
