New Data Report Demonstrates Increasing Value of Accredited Interprofessional Continuing Education

The 2022 Joint Accreditation Data Report: Touchstones of Strength and Progress in Accredited Continuing Education for Healthcare Teams features data from 146 jointly accredited providers. That figure is a 10%  increase from the previous year's 132 providers. The report found the number of activities offered increased by 31% from 2021, with a 13% increase in the number of learner interactions. The total number of interprofessional continuing credits reached 180,000 in 2022, a 10% increase from 163,000 in 2021. Enduring materials and live courses were the most common types of activities. Enduring materials also had the most interactions, with more than 23 million interactions with healthcare professionals. Total reported income from accredited continuing education for the healthcare team surpassed the $1 billion mark, a record figure and a 21% increase from 2021's totals.
