Researchers studied more than 200 physicians to evaluate the effects of a short-term online continuing education program on gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). The training, which was provided through the DingTalk platform, significantly improved overall knowledge test scores, particularly among physicians from primary and secondary hospitals, general practitioners, and internal medicine physicians. Post-training, participants were more likely to select appropriate diagnostic approaches, including gastroscopy and gastrointestinal motility testing, with differences observed across specialties and hospital levels. Physicians also showed an increased tendency to recommend lifestyle modifications for GERD management after participating in the program. Overall, the findings indicate that short-term online education can effectively enhance physicians' knowledge and influence diagnostic and treatment practices, especially among those in primary care settings.
