Idaho Board of Medicine Joins ACCME and State Medical Licensing Boards Collaboration

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) announced the Idaho Board of Medicine's admission into the ACCME and State Medical Licensing Boards Collaboration to simplify CME disclosure for licensed physicians. The new member board will confirm that doctors have met Idaho's CME participation mandates for relicensure in the prior four years through ACCME's Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS). The Idaho Board of Medicine joins nine other collaborating state licensing boards in working with ACCME to report clinicians' participation. Using PARS ensures that physicians will not need to compile and submit their CME certificates themselves, and it will streamline auditing for the Idaho board.
