Accredited CME-CE Activity Updates Gastroenterologists on Eosinophilic Esophagitis Guidance

By: Policy and Medicine

Rockpointe and the Potomac Center for Medical Education have issued an accredited Continuing Medical Education, Maintenance of Certification and Merit-based Incentive Payment System program update on eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) guidance for gastroenterologists. The "Don't Get Stuck In The Middle: Evidence-based Management of Eosinophilic Esophagitis" program, which is free, involves expert-administered discussions concerning current guideline recommendations for diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of patients with the condition. Also highlighted are clinical evidence of emerging EoE treatments and deployment of shared decision-making in EoE management. The program is designed to improve participants' skills in applying recommended criteria to EoE diagnosis; treating and watching patients in accordance with current guidelines and evidence; effecting shared decision-making to ensure management decisions meet patients' clinical and personal needs; and evaluating emergent EoE treatments' safety and effectiveness.
