Reduce Your Physicians' Reporting Burden by Entering Learner Credit Data in PARS

By: ACCME Highlights

ACCME Highlights (01/16/23)

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) launched an upgraded Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS) in November 2021. Expanded options include the ability to enter, track and manage learner credit data for any activities using manual entry, batch upload or web services. Physician learners can report CME and Maintenance of Certification/Continuing Certification (MOC/CC) participation data in the same record. ACCME said it also added a learner validation tool, which allows users to pre-validate learner-identification data before entering CME and MOC/CC participation data, which will reduce rejections. Learners can also use the free CME Passport application to view, track and produce transcripts of their reported CME credit through a personalized account. ACCME urges learners "to enter your activities prospectively in PARS, elect to display these activities in CME Passport, and enter your learner credit data in PARS."
