A new report from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) underscores the continued strength and impact of accredited continuing medical education and continuing education. The 2025 ACCME Data Report notes that more than 242,000 educational activities took place last year and 57.5 million learner interactions were recorded, reflecting strong engagement in the healthcare community. According to the report, sustained trust in accredited education, growth in interprofessional learning, and ongoing investment in lifelong education supports physicians and healthcare teams as they work to enhance patient and community care. Across the ACCME System, total reported income was about $3.85 billion in 2025. Outcomes data showed continued measurement of learner competence, performance, and patient and community health outcomes, reinforcing accredited education as a vital and trusted foundation for professional development and improved healthcare delivery. “Accredited CME/CE continues to sustain trust, expand reach, and support physicians and healthcare teams as they work to improve care for patients and communities,” said ACCME President and CEO Graham McMahon, MD, MMSc.
