The Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education's Joint Accreditation Data Report: Touchstones of Strength and Progress in Accredited Continuing Education for Healthcare Teams-2022 highlights the appreciating value of accredited interprofessional continuing education (IPCE). The report compiles data from 146 jointly accredited providers, up from 132 in 2021. The study estimated a 31% gain in activities and a 13% increase in learner interactions from 2021, while total IPCE credits rose 10% from 163,000 to 180,000. Enduring materials and live courses maintained their status as the most common activity types. Enduring materials had the most interactions with healthcare professionals at over 23 million while regularly scheduled series followed with 2.4 million interactions. Total reported income from accredited continuing education for healthcare teams climbed 21% from $826 million in 2021 to more than $1 billion in 2022.
