Compliance Check: Mitigating Relevant Financial Relationships for CME Planners

Continuing medical education (CME) planners — individuals involved in the development of CME activities who are neither authors nor speakers — may be involved in content, topic or speaker selection, or may assess whether an activity is necessary. When working with CME planners, it is important to consider several factors when mitigating relevant financial relationships, so as not to potentially bias the content and to safeguard their independence.
