When Sapana Panday, MPH, CCMEP, was working on her MHP at Columbia University School of Public Health, she encountered an emerging field called evaluation research. The concept that just doing well-intentioned programs was not enough was a novel concept. Now, at The France Foundation, she uses both her academic knowledge as well as her years of experience on adult learning to not only develop out-of-the-box programs, but to analyze outcomes beyond the traditional standards. She brings a unique perspective from her upbringing in the underdeveloped nation of Nepal where education was a privilege afforded by the few, to her days as a health educator in the troubled schools of New York City. She is a frequent speaker at many conferences and an advocate for extending the reaches of CME into the public health arena.
