Coming This Summer: PARS Improvements

ACCME Highlights (02/24/21)

The Accreditation Council for Continued Medical Education (ACCME) has announced additional improvements to its Program and Activity Reporting System, scheduled for launch in early summer. The new version will include a modernized, user-friendly, and streamlined interface for activity and learner reporting. In response to feedback from the CME community, ACCME has added a dashboard for CME programs; expanded report-generation capability; simpler data entry for multi-year activities; options for providers to display current or future activities in CME Finder; streamlined options for inputting physician-learner data; and the means for providers to register maintenance of certification activities through an Excel template. The upgraded CME Finder will also let clinicians more easily search for accredited activities that meet their requirements. For now, ACCME encourages stakeholders to proceed with submitting data for the 2020 year-end reporting deadline and continue to enter activity and learner data as usual.
