CAP Receives ACCME Accreditation With Commendation

College of American Pathologists (12/12/20)

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) has awarded the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Accreditation with Commendation as a continuing medical education (CME) provider.  CAP earned a six-year accreditation, the longest term offered by the council, for demonstrating exemplary performance.  This reaccreditation represents the third straight cycle that the CAP has received a six-year accreditation term.  CAP met all regular and new criteria that demonstrate initiatives to advance interprofessional collaborative practice, address public health priorities, develop behavioral change, demonstrate leadership, leverage educational technology and show the impact of education on healthcare professionals and patients.  "Education is … one of the CAP's most valued offerings," said CAP President Patrick Godbey, MD, FCAP.
