The Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) has launched the FSMB 2020 Virtual Education Program. The program will offer online speaker presentations and educational material originally scheduled for the annual FSMB meeting in San Diego, and continuing medical education credits are available for participation. The initiative will offer six online presentations in July, August and September, covering subjects that include healthcare consumer empowerment and realizing regulatory excellence amid advanced technologies and complex risks. Additional topics will highlight FSMB policy proposals on sexual misconduct, telemedicine developments, overcoming implicit bias in medical regulation and physician stress/burnout in the COVID era. The FSMB and Administrators in Medicine also will co-host a virtual version of the Spotlight Poster Hall, showcasing research and policy efforts by state medical boards and healthcare organizations.
