ACCME Data Report Shows Steady Growth in Accredited Continuing Medical Education — 2019

In a new report, the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) notes that over 1,700 accredited continuing medical education (CME) providers offered roughly 190,000 educational activities last year. The ACCME Data Report: Steady Growth in Accredited Continuing Medical Education — 2019 also says a sustained, 10-year growth trajectory is indicated by the increasing number of activities, hours of instruction and learner interactions. Additionally, other learner interactions exceeded physician interactions for the second consecutive year, according to the report. "I'm inspired by the CME community as I witness our providers deliver accredited education that supports clinicians amid a global health crisis," said ACCME President and CEO Graham McMahon, MD, MMSc. "Now more than ever, the mantra 'learn well, save lives' is pertinent to everything we do."
