ABMS News Release (06/08/20)
The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) conducted a survey of UCSF School of Medicine faculty of the value of the ABMS Portfolio Program to physicians. UCSF has been a member of the program for seven years. According to the survey results, the physicians said the program saved them time and furthered their involvement in institutional quality improvement activities. In this video, Jeffrey Tabas, MD, professor of Emergency Medicine and director of Outcomes and Innovations for Continuing Medical Education at the UCSF School of Medicine, asserts, “I would encourage any organization to consider becoming a Portfolio Sponsor because it supports a culture of quality improvement throughout the institution and among the physicians.”
