Association of Physician Assistants in Oncology and Horizon CME Announce Partnership to Provide Certified Medical Education to APAO Membership

PR Newswire (11/18/19)

The Association of Physician Assistants in Oncology (APAO) and Horizon CME (HCME) announced that they are working together to supply education to APAO members via HCME's Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Oncology Summit series and web-based library. In addition, the collaboration will feature the creation and launch of APP Oncology 101, which will provide an overview of hematology/oncology for APPs going into cancer care or who would like a refresher course. "This partnership represents an opportunity for our members to have privileged access to locally-developed and locally-delivered oncology education that's designed to sharpen their practice skills," said Lynn Hupp, Executive Director of APAO. "The broad network of APPOS, expanding web-based educational offerings and low registration fees mean quality and up-to-date education is more accessible and affordable for our members." Brian Lee, PharmD, President and Medical Director of Horizon CME, added that for his organization, the "partnership is a logical extension of our goal to bring high-quality, low-cost oncology education to the advanced practice provider right in their backyards."
