Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education Implements Improvements to JA-PARS

Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education (06/07/19)

Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education has modified the Joint Accreditation Program and Activity Reporting System (JA-PARS) to let providers input more data about CE activities that include optometrists, physician assistants, psychologists, and social workers. Changes include support to indicate if an activity's target audience includes those specialties, the ability to signal the specialties' offered credit/contact hours, and participation numbers for specialists. Search functionality and reporting have been upgraded as well, with users now able to search for their activities via the Universal Activity Number and provider activity ID on the activity search page. Additionally, new fields have been added to reporting functions to enable reports to highlight target audiences, the associated credit or contact hours offered, and number of participants.
