Accreditation Council for CME Announces Election of 2019 Officers

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) has announced the election of its officers for 2019, with Hal B. Jenson, MD, MBA, appointed chair, Michael Zanolli, MD, elected vice chair, and Gary L. Filerman, MHA, PhD, re-elected treasurer. Jenson is founding dean of the Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine and specializes in pediatric infectious diseases. Zanolli is a medical dermatology practitioner and a member of Heritage Medical Associates in Nashville, Tenn., and has been a faculty member at Wake Forest University and Vanderbilt University. Filerman has participated in global initiatives to enhance the performance of health services through professionalism in management. He has headed the Association of University Programs in Health Administration, and founded the Journal of Health Administration Education, the Accrediting Commission on Health Administration Education, and the Health Administration Press.
