Important Updates: CME for MOC and TN Pilot

ACCME Highlights (08/01/18)

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) reports that it has updated the learning reporting process for CME for Maintenance of Certification (MOC). Enhanced functionality in the Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS) allows users to search for CME for MOC activities using a number of filters, enter data for learners who are certified by multiple boards in a single step, search for information by learner, and create reports based on the searches. In addition, a field has been added for the learner's National Provider Identifier — a category added to support participants in the pilot project from ACCME and Tennessee's Board of Medical Examiners. ACCME also reports that it has established collaborations with two more certifying boards: the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and the American Board of Ophthalmology.
